Payment & refund policy

Last updated Sep 19, 2026

This page explains what Coachwright costs, how you pay, and what happens when you cancel, when a payment fails, or when you want money back. It is written for the shop owner who pays the bill.

Coachwright is run by Coachwright LLC, a Texas company. "We" and "us" on this page mean Coachwright LLC. "You" means the shop paying for Coachwright.

1. What does Coachwright cost?

There is one plan. It includes everything, and every member of your staff can use it. We charge per shop, not per person.

Coachwright costs $407 a month, or $4,070 a year.

Pay by bank debit and you get a discount: $395 a month, or $3,950 a year. Bank debit is much cheaper for us to process than a card, and we pass that saving on to you.

Monthly Yearly
Pay by card $407/mo $4,070/yr
Pay by bank debit $395/mo $3,950/yr

The price you see is the price you pay. Sales tax and payment processing fees are already inside these prices. Nothing is added at checkout.

Free trial. Every new shop starts with a 30-day free trial with everything unlocked. You do not need to enter a card to start, and nothing is charged during the trial. When the trial ends, you pick monthly or yearly billing. If you do nothing, your shop is paused, not deleted. Your data waits for you.

2. How do I pay?

You can pay by bank debit (a direct debit from your business bank account, also called ACH) or by card. You choose at checkout.

We recommend bank debit. It is the cheaper option for you, and it is what keeps our price flat with unlimited staff. We connect to your bank through a secure login at checkout, so you do not need to type account numbers.

We never change how you pay without asking you. If a payment cannot be taken from the method you chose, we tell you what happened and what to do next. We do not quietly charge a different card or account you have on file.

Switching between bank debit and card. You can change your payment method any time from Settings → Billing. Because the two have different prices, switching also changes your price: the price for your new method applies from your next payment.

Switching between monthly and yearly. Monthly to yearly takes effect at your next monthly renewal. Yearly to monthly takes effect at the end of the year you paid for. You always keep what you have already paid for.

Managing your billing. Your payment method, billing period, invoices and cancellation are all self-serve from Settings → Billing. No phone call needed.

3. What about sales tax?

Our prices include any sales tax we have to collect. Where we collect it, your invoice shows the tax as a separate line, but the total you pay is still the price in section 1.

Today we collect sales tax only in Texas. If we ever have to collect it in your state, your price does not go up. Your invoice will show the split, and we will never add tax to a period you have already paid for.

4. What happens if a payment fails?

Payments fail for ordinary reasons: an expired card, a closed account, a bank hold. We do not switch your shop off the moment one does.

  1. We tell you, in the app and by email. Where your bank or card allows it, we retry over the following days.
  2. You keep full access for 14 days. Everything keeps working: builds, public pages, time logging, invoicing, the customer portal, etc.
  3. If the payment is still unpaid after 14 days, the owner's side of the app is paused. Even then:
    • Your public showcase stays online. Your marketing does not go dark because a card expired.
    • Your staff can still clock in and out. People who do not control the billing do not lose their timesheets over it.
  4. Nothing is deleted. Pay the open invoice and everything resumes exactly where it was.

If your bank pulls a payment back after it went through, we treat it as a failed payment, and the steps above start from the day we find out. We will contact you before anything changes.

5. Can I get a refund?

Monthly plans: no refunds. When you cancel, your plan runs to the end of the month you have paid for, and then stops. You keep full access until then.

Yearly plans: we refund the months you have not used. If you want to stop before your year is up, email us. Here is how it works:

  • Months are counted from the day you paid. The month you are in is not refunded. Every whole month after it is.
  • For each unused month we refund one twelfth of the yearly price you paid.
  • Your access ends at the end of the month you are in.
  • We send the refund to the payment method you paid with, within 10 business days of your request.

For example: you paid for a year on March 10 and ask to stop on July 3. You are in your fourth month, so you keep access until July 10, and we refund the eight months after that.

If you paid by bank debit, your bank statement may show the whole yearly payment coming back, followed by a separate charge for the months you used. The end result is the same.

We do not deduct anything from a refund. The amount you get back is the amount for the unused months.

If we made a mistake, such as charging you twice or charging you after you cancelled, tell us. We refund the full amount, and we cover any fees.

Please talk to us before disputing a charge with your bank. A dispute costs us a fee whether or not it is upheld, and almost everything people dispute is something we would have sorted out straight away.

6. How do I cancel?

Cancel any time, yourself, from Settings → Billing. No phone call, no retention script.

  • Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for. On a yearly plan, if you want to stop sooner, email us and we refund the unused months (see section 5).
  • We do not delete your data. For 90 days after your plan ends, your shop is read-only. You can sign in, read everything, and export it.
  • Your public showcase goes offline when your plan ends. Cancelling is a decision to leave, so we stop publishing on your behalf.
  • If you use your own domain for your showcase, it will stop showing your pages. Your domain points at our servers, and we cannot change that on your side. You need to point it somewhere else, or visitors will see a page saying the shop is no longer listed. We remind you of this when you cancel.
  • Deleting your data permanently is a separate step that only you can take. Cancelling never triggers it.

7. Can this policy change?

We may update this page. If a change affects your price or your rights under this policy, we tell you before it takes effect. Changes never apply to a period you have already paid for.
