I’m a software engineer who has been into cars since my dad had me holding the light in the garage. Being a gearhead in Houston, I got to know Eugene, a restoration shop owner, who showed me how a shop really runs and where it hurts.
Hours that never reached an invoice. A build that was over budget before anyone added it up. A customer asking where the money went and nobody able to show them. One product, built for that, instead of a spreadsheet, a whiteboard and three subscriptions.
